In May of 2020, our office received confirmation from a Detective with the Department of Insurance Fraud Division who advised that criminal charges were formally filed against the claimant in this case. A felony arrest warrant was issued, and the claimant subsequently turned himself in where he was advised of the charges against him.

This is the first time a California Private Investigative Firm ‘s SIU Staff has been admitted into IASIU membership.

On March 12th, 2020, the Special Investigative Unit of RJN Investigations, Inc. was formally notified by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office regarding the successful prosecution in the case of People of California vs. C. Storey. In this particular case, the claimant was employed as a substitute teacher for the Alhambra Unified School District and alleged to have sustained an injury to her left shoulder.

On March 3rd, 2020, the Special Investigative Unit of RJN Investigations, Inc. was notified that the Orange County District Attorney’s Office had filed criminal charges pertaining to at 20 million dollar healthcare insurance fraud and kickback scheme.

On February 14th, 2020, the Special Investigative Unit of RJN Investigations, Inc. was formally notified that the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office had filed four felony counts against the claimant. In this case, the claimant was employed as a full-time dental assistant.

On January 29th, 2020, the Special Investigative Unit of RJN Investigations, Inc. was formally notified by the Sonoma County District Attorney’s Office regarding the filing of six felony counts against the claimant and her sister. In this particular case, the claimant alleges to have suffered a seizure and claimed it to be work related.

On January 6th, 2020 the Special Investigative Unit of RJN Investigations, Inc. was formally notified by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office regarding the arraignment of a claimant charged with felony insurance fraud. In this particular case, the examiner received a tip indicating that the claimant was working for his own construction company while out on workers’ compensation collecting TTD benefits.

On December 2nd, 2019 the Special Investigative Unit of RJN Investigations, Inc. was formally notified by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office regarding the successful prosecution in the case of People of California vs. R. Purvis. In this case, the claimant’s deposition was taken in Los Angeles County under the penalty of perjury.

On November 25th, 2019 the Special Investigative Unit of RJN Investigations, Inc. was notified by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office as to the successful prosecution based upon a documented referral submitted. In this case, the claimant worked in the maintenance department for the City.

In 2014, Natividad, while working as a Costa Mesa Police Department officer, reported a work-related injury. He falsely claimed that earlier in the day, he struck his hand against a brick wall near the CMPD jail while transporting an arrestee for booking.
