In May of 2020, our office received confirmation from a Detective with the Department of Insurance Fraud Division who advised that criminal charges were formally filed against the claimant in this case. A felony arrest warrant was issued, and the claimant subsequently turned himself in where he was advised of the charges against him.

Storey. In this particular case, the claimant was employed as a substitute teacher for the Alhambra Unified School District and alleged to have sustained an injury to her left shoulder.

On January 6th, 2020 the Special Investigative Unit of RJN Investigations, Inc. was formally notified by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office regarding the arraignment of a claimant charged with felony insurance fraud. In this particular case, the examiner received a tip indicating that the claimant was working for his own construction company while out on workers’ compensation collecting TTD benefits.
