Kern County District Attorney Files Multiple Felony Charges on Forklift Driver

On February 8th, 2021, the Special Investigative Unit of RJN Investigations, Inc. established that multiple felony charges were filed based upon the submission of a documented referral.

In this case, the claimant alleged he sustained an injury to his left middle finger after a pallet full of carrots weighing approximately 100 pounds slipped and smashed his left middle finger on October 11, 2018. The claimant received first aide care the same day and was discharged by October 18, 2018 with no restrictions.

Ventura County Firefighter Pleads Guilty to Insurance Fraud

On January 14th, 2021, the Special Investigative Unit of RJN Investigations, Inc. was notified of the successful prosecution in the case of People of California v P. Lieber as to felony workers’ compensation fraud in violation of Insurance Code section 1871.4(a). The claimant was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 24 months of felony probation.

Dental Assistant Pleads No Contest to One Count of Felony Insurance Fraud

On January 6th, 2021, the Special Investigative Unit of RJN Investigations, Inc. was formally notified by the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office as to the successful prosecution in the case of People of California v. E. Barajas. In this particular case, the claimant denied pre-existing issues and injuries to her low back to her industrial treating physicians as well as to the claim’s examiner.

City Equipment Operator Takes A Plea for Insurance Fraud

On December 23rd, 2020, the Special Investigative Unit of RJN Investigations, Inc., was notified by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office regarding the successful prosecution in the case of People of California vs. W. Hanke.

In this particular case, the claimant was employed as a City Equipment Operator who alleged to have suffered an upper extremity injury while working.
